XX1X ACADEMIC CONFERENCE OF AIFUCTO ON 'QUALITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION – ISSUES AND CHALLENGES.’-November 14-16, 2014- Hosted by PUNJAB & CHANDIGARH COLLEGE TEACHERS’ UNION (PCCTU)

The AIFUCTO conferences are an occasion for the teachers from all over the country to deliberate upon the activities of the organisation, to analyse the educational scene in the country and in the world. It is crucial for the teachers to participate in the emerging educational scenario.

The 29th Academic Conference of the AIFUCTO will be held at Chandigarh from November 14-16, 2014. The theme of the Conference is 'Quality in Higher Education – Issues and Challenges.’ A special feature of this conference will be the focus on the role of women teachers, who are in a vast majority in most educational institutions now, and that of the students in higher education. AIFUCTO cordially invite delegates and observers from the affiliated organizations of the AIFUCTO to participate in this Conference. 

With the new government in the centre, new thinking and directions are likely to emerge during the coming months. The AIFUCTO, which is in the vanguard of the teachers' movement, has a significant role to play and the whole-hearted participation of teachers from all over India will help to make valuable contribution in deciding the future course of action of AIFUCTO and to set the path of higher education in the right direction.

Seminar
A seminar on the theme of the conference ‘Quality in Higher Education: issues & challenges is to be held during this conference. Papers to be presented during the seminar can be submitted before 20th October, 2014. All the papers should bear the full name of the author/authors, college/university, the affiliated Association and the full address with email id at the top of the first page. Papers should be double spaced, footnotes to be similarly spaced. The total length should not exceed 10 pages (3000 words) including footnotes. Soft copy of the paper may be sent to aifucto.gs@gmail.com, with a copy to asok.barman@gmail.com

Rs.2000/ (Rupees Two Thousand only) per delegate, which includes the conference attendance fees and Rs.100 for AIFUCTO office at Delhi
