Sub: Collegiate Education – 28^th National Conference of the AIFUCTO at Varanas - period of participation- treating as on other duty – orders issued.

Ref: Letter Dated 07.11.2012 from The Convenor, Joint Action Council of College Teachers, Tamilnadu.

The Convenor, Joint Action Council of College Teachers in his letter cited has stated that the 28^th National Conference of the AIFUCTO and a Seminar on “12^th Plan Perspective and Higher Education in India” is scheduled to be held from 15.12.2012 to 17.12.2012 at Varanasi. Teachers in Government and Government Aided Colleges all over srate may participate in the Conference ad Seminar. He has requested that the absence of the Teacher participants from their headquarters between 13.12.2012 to 19.12.2012 may be treated as “on other duty”.

The request of The Convenor, Joint Council of College Teachers has been considered carefully and the Director of Collegiate education accords permission to The Joint Directors of Collegiate Education of all regions, Principals of all Government Arts Colleges an the Secretaries of the Government Aided Colleges concerned to treat the period of participation by the Teacher participants in the seminar as on other duty, subject to the following conditions.

1. The absence from 13-12-2012 to 19-12-2012 will be treated as “on other duty” on production of certificate of participation.
2. No TA/DA will be allowed in this regard.
3. No expenditure will be incurred from the State Funds.
