Sub:  Collegiate Education - National Level Conference and Seminar at Ambaji, Gujarat - period of participation- treating as on other duty – orders issued.

Ref:   Letter Dated 26.11.2015 from the Convenor, Joint Action Council of College Teachers-TANTSAC, Tamilnadu.

The Convenor, Joint Action council of College Teachers in his letter cited has stated that AIFUCTO is organizing XXVIII Statutory Conference and National Seminar on the topic ”Higher Education in New Education Policy — Challenges & Prospects" and it is scheduled to be held at "KALIDAS MISTRY  BHAVAN,  DANTA   ROAD,  AMBAJI,  GUJARAT" from  18.12.201 5  to 20.12.2015.  He has also stated that college teachers working in Tamil Nadu are expected to participate in the Seminar.

He has further stated that teachers from all over the State may participate in the Seminar. He has requested that the absence of the Teacher Participants from their headquarters from 18.12.201 5 to 20.12.2015   along with travel days may be treated as “on other duty".

The request of the Convenor, Joint Action council of College Teachers has been considered carefully and the Director of Collegiate Education (FAC) accords permission to Principals of all Colleges concerned to treat the participation by the Teacher participants (both Government and Government Aided Colleges) in the above National Seminar and Conference from 18.12.2015 to 20.12.2015 along with travel days as on other duty, subject to the following conditions.

1.       The absence from 18.12.2015 to 20.12.2015 along with travel days will be treated as “on other duty" on production of certificate of  participation.

2.      No TA / DA will be allowed in this regard from the State funds.

3.      No  expenditure will  be  incurred from the State funds.
