We, MUTA-TCE, oppose and will continue to oppose the comversion of Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai into a Private University ...
Because,

• TCE, is a Government Aided institution
• The reservation system will not be complied with
• Fees will be hiked
• UG Courses will be discontinued
• Madurai is in dire need of at least one Government Engineering College
• This proposal is a retrograde move

False claims raised by the people

• Private University will follow the Government norms in admitting the students by following the reservation policy without hiking the fees
• Private University will follow the Government norms in paying staff pension
• Private University will improve the Quality of Engineering Education in TamilNadu
