Sub: Colegiate Education - State Level Seminar at Trichy - period of participation treating as on other duty- order issued.
Ref: Letter Dated 19.11.2015 from the Convenor, Joint Action Council of College Teachers- TANTSAC, Tamilnadu.

The Convenor, Joint Action council of College Teachers in his letter cited has stated that a State Level Seminar in the topic 'Higher Education in New Education Policy - Challenges & Prospects' is scheduled to be held at Trichy on 03.12.2015. He has also stated that a maximum of 250 college teachers working in Colleges are expected to participate in the Seminar.

He has further stated that teachers from all over the State may participate in the seminar. He has requested that the absence of the Teacher Participants from their headquarters on 03.12.2015 may be treated as 'on other duty’.

The request of the Convenor, Joint Action council of College Teachers has been considered carefully and the Director or Collegiate Education (FAC) accords permission to Principals of all Colleges concerned to treat the participation by the Teacher participants on 03.12.2015 in the seminar as on other duty, subject to the followlng conditions.

1.        The absence on 03.12.2015 will be treated as “on other duty” on production of certificate of participation.

2.                  No TA/ DA will be allowed in this regard from the State funds.

3.                  No expenditure will be incurred from the State funds.
